I fell asleep listening to Sufjan last night... This is not Sufjan's fault... I went to bed hella late.
As a result, I got up really late today :) and then commenced watching HOUSE. I love that show. It's not necessarily because of production style (love the little cgi animated bio sequences tho) it's cause of the lines and the stories and the characters. MI-5 I can't help but love cause, honestly, it's so slick. I love the way it's diced up and speeds you along. AD I love because of it's wacky characters, wonderful acting, the writing is splendid, and it just twists aroudn the usual sitcom formula. This show tho... It's got the character drama from ER on a diluted level (so far) but enough that you *want* to know these people and how they tick but it's not overwhelmingly about them. It's got the detective/crime element with the focus on diagnosis problems. And, it manages to be sarcastically funny much of the time in the mix.
I need to pay more attention to the production style and lighting and stuff. Costuming i'm beginning to find interesting tho :) Love the nuances it adds to House... the leather jacket and bag that are distressed... the tweed cap at the LAX game. works well. These compare nicely with Cuddy's semi-designer suits, and RSL's classic white coat/white shirt/friendly colored tie combo = traditional good guy doctor-friend. Noticed that in the Occam's Razor ep that Faith Prince was a guest star :D ( I still loooooooved her in Guys and Dolls from years ago. *massive giggles from singing to self several adelaide songs* I loved Adelaide. :D
Anyhow... I love this show. I cannot wait til it debuts with season 2 on the 13th! *happy dance!* and once i get through the episodes I'll get to watch the bounus material (ok i could do that now...but so far I've had the patience to wait)... I need to get a House icon.
