When it Comes to Opera, She is Ossified...So All of You Operas Better Step Aside
Art festival was fun (will be going back tomorry) but I got really dehydrated. I ended up very headachy as a result. It's been really hot here this weekend and because of a couple of circumstances I didn't want to buy anything to drink at the show (long silly and boring story)... I should have tho. One good thing was: no sunburn :D yay for the spray on sunscreen. It works. Also, the show wasn't great, but it was decent. There's one artist I'd like to look at again, I like her acrylic work. On the way back to Deena's Joy said she'll teach me to knit :D (While over there got to see a model plane Nathaniel put together. he did a nice job! :D it's a stealth bomber --I think--. He put stickers all over it ;) not exactly good for eluding those with anti-aircraft missles, but they're *perfect* for an 8 year old's imagination :) also we played a game of war in cards. He won almost fairly ;) I decided that it was okay to let jokers be the high card and that i'd look the other way a couple times when he suggested that it was okay to "arrange" some of his high cards ;) it made me grin)
When I got home from the show I was really wiped. However, I got changed and we got supplies for the meeting ready. Meeting at Anne's went wonderfully. :) I totally didn't need to be worried about it. Everyone just had fun and played. I got the painting done on the center panel of the new triptych (it's about 9x12", and the blank side pieces are 6x12".. decent size anyway... I'm very happy with the paint as it is and highly tempted to just add a couple of things to it and call it done... which would mean needing to get another blank canvas and start again with it ;) Mom got my swap (yay!) Swaps in general were good. Evelyn somehow got lost and never got there, oh well. Got to really talk to Anne for a while, shich was my first chance to really do so :) She's a lot of fun, and she gave me a big compliment tonight. I think if I were less lazy, she might have a point. :) It felt good tho.
Now, the question with the heat being even higher tomorrow... Do I *really* want to go back out to the festival tomorrow? :/ Probably, just... the people at that farm (which is really a historical thing now, not a real farm) need to fricking plant a bunch of trees so we don't all die out there in the summer.
