Presentation is done, one smaller project left. I honestly have no idea how to do it, but it will get done. I celebrated by letting myself sleep in until 9. Tonight I will go clubbing. I plan to get very drunk and dance all night. This weekend I will be celebrating Carneval in Cologne.

The presentation went well, only because my critics were so wohlwollend, as one of my German classmates continuously reminded me they'd be. The production began at 9, with a crowd of students holding their models, drawings, materials boards, and arbeitsbucher. One of the professors asked who would like to pin up first. He looked at me and said, "You. You look ready." I stared at him blankly, Kim started laughing hysterically and saying, "Nein! Nein!" Our professor jumped in to affirm the No. The presentations lasted until past 6 that evening, with two short breaks. Kim and I presented some time in the afternoon. I'm sure I made a lot of grammar mistakes, and I know my drawings had errors on them. A crazy prof I had literally screamed at last fall was one of my critics - I was truly expecting the worst. But, they were very kind and kept it short. Because Kim and I didn't do the engineering aspect, we had less to present than everyone, but our stuff did look good. Several of my classmates and professors congratulated me afterwards. I sat down and zoned out for a few more hours. I skipped out early to attend a meeting for a class next semester that will be going to Istanbul. I don't yet know if I can participate, but I am going to Istanbul before my time here is over. We met up with friends at an Italian restaurant, then chowed down on tubs of ice cream before changing into pajamas to go to the bar. I came home early, exhasted. On my way to catch my bus, I passed the German girl who had helped me carry my drawings earlier that morning. Kim and I were each carrying five things, hurrying to catch a bus, and having to stop every 30 seconds to readjust. This girl offered to help, and I was very grateful. It seems whenever I really need help, the Germans come through, but on a day-to-day basis, they revel in my shortcomings. Ending the night by running into this girl again reminded me that I survived.
