Oh oh oh,
The last 6 days have been so utterly adventerous and wonderous. Today is the first time I've felt a bit back to normalcy.
On Wednesday, upon coming home from work dreadfully irritated, Jos told me she invited Vitus over and he was bringing unknown chums. Not overly pleased, but I bit my lip and agreed anyway.
The night turned into a drunken smokey haze with guitars flying about hands and palms slapping djembes incoherently. I was a chimney that night, my poor poor lungs.
I met a drunken Polish man who I didn't much pay attention to that night other than a new acquaintence. He had a bad go with the booze and passed out early, threw up on our couch, and then was drawn upon ferociously by everyone but me. (While I do find it amusing, I don't find enjoyment in actually do it whatsoever.)
He slept the night here in the kitchen while his room mate and Vitus went back to their abodes. Upon awakening I suspect he felt very ill at ease. Seeing as he just met the occupants of the apartment he woke up in the night before, and doesn't remember much of said night. He was very much a different person when sober which I was oddly thankful for almost right away, but I didn't really put much thought into it. Jos had to go to school, so he and I hung out for the morning which was an unusally comfortable affair. I trekked to school, but while there I began to feel very faint so I didn't go to work. I wound up spending the evening with him again and since then I've been in an outrageous high of like and sex. Marathon sex is extremely enjoyble I now confess.
Most of the weekend was spent with him, but Saturday afternoon I went for Dim Sum with Jos and Angelica then thrift shopping. Plus picked up my ticket for The Hives show that was last night, and it was even better than the first time around seeing them. My brother also made a surprise visit to the city so he came out with the three of us that night to Neutral. Although he couldn't really enjoy himself as he was obligated to host this girl he was with. Which is a shame because dancing was rather enjoyable that night.
I spent the night at Mike's house, and woke up to a lovely breakfast in bed from him. mmmm.
Sunday I lay around in bed with him, then went to go see Gogol Bordello with Amanda, a girl I used to work with and who took me to see The Von Bondies a few months ago. I would have enjoyed myself more I think if I had been able to put down my belongings, but it proved impossible with the line. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful show and I was completely exhausted by the end. Gypsy punk is rather keen.
Then last night was The Hives, and of course it's always a good time with their noise.
I went to the doctor today after it's been over two weeks since I initially went to him and told him of my minds trouble. Now the time has come and I am back on medication. Oh my. Blood work was done and I'm being referred to a pshychiatrist. A bit overwhelming, but I feel alright about it, so that's good I suppose.
Noise for you:
Wonderlust King - Gogol Bordello
Kije's Ouiji - The Free Design ( An extremely fun band from the late 60's, early 70's. Although I'm more than sure they put out something fairly recently as well.)
Mystery to Me - Dr. Dog (A band who's name completely throws you off.)
Don't Be Afraid, You're Already Dead - Akron Family (It's Akron Family..)
Glamur - Amiina (The lasses in this band used to be what made up Seoul. Which was usually the String Section of Sigur Ros.)
