just kidding about that major change.
i decided to drop ear training, and i added another academic class: history of gender and sexuality in america. sounds interesting. so my schedule is more balanced. i hope this prevents insanity/panic attacks.
back at school.
i have to admit, i missed my little cave of a room. its warm "wood" panelling. i wish i could take a picture of it and put it on here for you all to see, but unfortunately, my computer is basically non-functional. for several reasons. firstly because our landlord came in during the break and replaced my electrical outlet with an outlet without a power bar hole. so, there are only two holes for a plug that has three prongs. all our extension chords only have two holes. same issue. so, i am unable to turn on my computer. secondly, after reaching halfway across my room to plug it in to another power strip, my computer told me windows wasn't working, and basically refused to load. i don't know what's going on, but i've decided i hate technology.
the weather here is dreary....i wish it would snow. then at least there'd be an excuse for the cold. today i was thinking about how pretty it gets here in the spring.
my mom basically gave me an ultimatum and said if i change my major i'd probably have to come home and go to uga. that's why i didn't change it completely. she wanted me "to be in a better frame of mind," before i made that decision. she's probably right.
and theory's not that bad; the professor is British, thank God. so at least if i have to listen to mindless music analysis, it can be in the beautiful articulate of a brit.
piano will be ok, my teacher seems reasonable.
Italian moves quickly but I think it will be fun. I have learned how to say: Mi chiamo Jessica. Sono di Atlanta. Sono di studentessa d'italiano. (My name is Jessica. I'm from atlanta. I am a student of Italian). Hoorah!
And thankfully, I was moved into a better choir. Symphonic. I love the things we are singing and I'm really looking forward to the semester. Tomorrow I have History, Theory Drill, Italian, and English (Elizabethean Drama....may change to Writing Fiction).
So, perhaps things, in terms of school anyway, aren't THAT bad off.
I really do think the BC was messing with my brain chemistry in a horrible way. I've been off it for three days and I already feel 100 percent better, and my face has cleared up.
i have much more to say, but my wrists are getting tired.
i should eat dinner, as well.
until later,
buona notte!
oh, italian.
