Back to Singapore
We'll be back in Singapore on Dec 1. We'll be heading out to M for our annual trip on Dec 3.
Packers came on Thu. It was smooth except for one hitch, thank God. They started at 10am and completed by 6pm. All in all, we have a total of 62 boxes. Not bad..... most leave with more than 1 hundred boxes and packing takes about 1 week.
These last 2 to 3 weeks (since our trip from Sri Lanka) have been busy and time has flown by. I've been saying goodbye (sometimes more than once) to friends. It's strange, cos we might never meet again. On the other hand, we've never really treasured our time together until we realise that we're leaving in a couple of weeks. I've been doing a fair bit of shoppping as well.
It's been a memorable experience. When I first read lonely planet's take on Mumbai, the author said,"Either you will grown to love the chaos in Mumbai or you will hate it." I fully agree with his statement. Apart from friends, there's a certain charm amidst the bad infrastructure and the filth that greets my eye at every corner.
I hope to come back someday....maybe 5 to 10 years time to see how things have changed.
In the meantime, I am somewhat apprehensive about going back and adjusting to the culture in Singapore.... the busyness, the pressure from school and starting work again. I have to remind myself to take things easy and not to worry about stuff that I can't control.
Do keep us in prayer, esp Isabel and Christabel as they join Clementi Primary school
