THERE ARE BRAND NEW H50 SPOILERS AND I AM EXCITE!
Some of these spoilers may be rather sizable, so don't click if you don't want to know.
My 2 cents:
• SO EXCITED ABOUT THE KONO STUFF! :D I was surprised when Ben Bass disappeared without even a reference, but then again, Kono is way too amazing to be the 'relationship drama' character. (They all are, it just would've seemed particularly sexist for the one girl - at the time - to be stuck in that place.) So, anyway, I am SO GLAD to hear she'll be getting a substantial storyline in the next batch of episodes! And I know I'm not alone in thinking it: ABOUT TIME.
• Someone will have a love interest: too broad and vague to comment on, really. Danny/Rachel seems likely to be addressed, Kono's been reconnecting with whatshisname, and I am kiiiind of rooting for Malia to become relevant again. After all, Chin's name has been cleared and he is - for the time being anyways - back with HPD. I've been rewatching the whole season (don't judge me!) and there totally is some unresolved business there. But, you know, in the grand scheme of things: this is not The Vampire Diaries! lol. It's funny because I love character-centric ~drama, but trivial romance is so not on my list of reasons why I watch this show. Only true, forever love!
• NEW TEAM MEMBER: I am inordinately worried that this will be Sang-Min, OMG. I would be shocked, to be sure, but in a brutally uncomfortable way. I understand that it would shift dynamics around, and I see the narrative interests in that, I really do. However, I'm afraid it would also corrupt perceptions of our beloved protagonists beyond all hope. All because Sang-Min is a convicted HUMAN TRAFFICKER, and honestly, I cannot get over that. If somehow Five-0 finds a way to be OK with it, I don't think I can root for them anymore. LOL, I'M SO DRAMATIC, I KNOW. Really, though. It would pretty much make all of them morally bankrupt to me. See also: my broken heart, pieces everywhere. My wishlist? I was quite content with there being 5 members in, y'know, Five-0 but if we must add somebody: Kamekona! Or Max, though I'm not sure how that would work. (Also, omg I want Jenna and Max to share scenes, they can be adorably geeky together!)
Ahem, I mean. I didn't intend this post to turn into a 'dear Santa' letter, LOL.
