I am so cheap I would be checking so many things before even considering something like this.
These scammers are crazy and constantly changing tactics. I have heard stories of seniors loosing upwards of $100k because they are lonely and scammers will at least talk to them while emptying their accounts. It’s so sad.
I once had a coworker fall for an email scam and buy thousands of dollars of Nordstroms gift cards on her company CC thinking our boss had emailed her on a Saturday asking her to do this. I am such an asshole but I truly questioned her sanity.
