after three weeks they have finally hatched. amycus and i have been waiting for a long time so this is all very exciting. i'm glad that we have cassandra because feeding and moving the worms every day is tedious. she might not be as useful for the delicate work of unwinding their threads when we are done, but then again i suppose she does always turn out to be quite useful. it will be perhaps a week or so of feeding until they start to cocoon.
the potions i had been working on for a while turned out well, both she and amycus can confirm. i'm glad to be working on some exciting projects as i was getting very bored just reading and filling orders all day long. amycus says that boredom makes me short-tempered but i think he also finds it entertaining. i would like to make him a present as a thank you for the lovely gifts he brings me, but what? he does not care for trinkets or charms or things in jars.
there is a little little mouse sitting in the corner looking at me. i suppose the cat must be lost again. i don't know how we lose so many. what a loud little mouse.
