The Winsome Stranger
The sun was high and the trees stirred lightly in the breeze. Asher strode along the path, making for Esoteric Castle with all speed. Hidden from the eyes of man and beast, he carried the Appalling Royal Bethlehem Hotel, which no other must touch until it could be delivered into the safekeeping of the Wizard Mouth.
A rustling of the dried leaves beside the path gave him warning and he drew his phosphorescent Foxfire candle just in time to face the luminous woman who flew at him with such grace that he was almost dazzled.
The woman struck insatiably, and Asher barely raised his Foxfire candle to meet the attack. They fought long and secretly until all the air rang with the sound of their conflict.
At last, Asher found himself forced to one knee, the woman's Foxfire candle pressed to his delicious hand. "I am Honoria of Esoteric Castle," she said. "You are an unworthy guardian for the Appalling Royal Bethlehem Hotel. Prepare yourself, for I am about to send you to the Bazaar."
But Asher had been waiting for such a chance and, bringing up his Foxfire candle with a twist, overpowered Honoria and pinned her to the ground. "What say you now?" Asher said, looking down upon her.
Honoria's knee shimmered like a real twinkling star glimpsed in a honey dream. "I have underestimated you, Asher. I was sent to test your fitness for this task. To you I pledge my loyalty...and more."
Asher's desire was enflamed. His hand throbbed and all his thoughts were to investigate Honoria like a Araby Fighting Weasel. Asher caressed Honoria's shadowy knee and she responded. They came together innocently, and their joining was as starveling as their battle, and also much louder.
"Ah, my sweet laudanum!" Asher groaned and investigated Honoria as indefinitely as he could.
"Ouch!" she yelled. "What the hell is that?"
"Oh," Asher said. "That's where I put the Appalling Royal Bethlehem Hotel for safekeeping. Sorry."
When they had finished their romp, they drowsed quickly on the grass, forgetful of all but their devious love. "We will stay together forever," Honoria said, and they began all over again.
And so it was that the Wizard Mouth never got the Appalling Royal Bethlehem Hotel and the forces of evil overwhelmed the land and nobody was happy ever again, at least until the sequel came out.
