i may have nailed a job that will solve all my woes and actually be kinda fun! finally! i would be the executive administrative assistant at a law firm in indianapolis... thus fulfilling the tenents of the residency clause and cutting me down to only 13,000 a year rather than 30,000, and I would be making some pretty decent bank as well. the dude who interviewed me (turns out he's the BIG lawyer around these parts or something-- he's got, like, 20 law firms in the midwest, and yet he found time to come here and interview me. love.) said that since i was going to iu law school, he could get me shadowing on some clerking duties with a second year student he has... badass, i think so! i may actually go in to school with some knowledge of the legal system!
una problema: they wanted to know how fast i can type. i took some online typing tests, several of them, mind you, and they told me 55 wpm. sweet. they likey. howevs, they want me to come in for a final interview where they watch me type some papers to make sure i'm not a fatty liar... cool, i really do type 55 wpm, BUT not the normal way. i'm still what any certified old person would call a "hunt-and-peck" typer... i learned the normal way, but i didn't like it, so i just learned how to type this way really fast to compensate. when they see this, they are going to think i am a moron!
oh wells, i think it'll be ok. maybe it'll make me stand out. weird girl types pretty well. for a weird girl.
and now, i eat.
