tonight was mellow and fun, sometimes the most fun is found on a porch, taking bets on how long it really takes for the light across the street to go through it's burn-out cycle.
oh, that and fire... tiki was a good start, but it's that... a start XD

Little update on the kitty happenings... We lost Ponder, Tuesday of last week. Man, that took a harder toll on everyone, more so than I think anyone would have expected. She certainly didn't have the mentality of an older cat, even being almost 14 years old, she was always fiesty and fun. Goes to show that even animals can stay young at heart ^_^
Anyway, we thought, Wednesday night, that it might be a good thing to go to the SPCA the next day and see if we couldn't find a brother/sister pair to adopt. We didn't find a brother/sister pair, aside from the fact that it was hard enough to tell who was from what litter (all kittens were kept two to a cage, 'cept for the big cages) so we found two boys. The one cutie, my father was absolutely hooked on him because he was just that, adorable, and loved being held. Mom found one that was all cute and playful, and started to shmooze quite to her liking, so that was that.
So after we brought them home, and let them explore a little, we found out that Mom's pick was quite hyper, running around at full-tilt. He'd often run into things, slide on the tile, and barely stop to look around... That's Max.
Our 'cutie,' my little romeo (so cuddly) is Oliver. Friday I was assigned to cat-sitting, to ref between Molly (our remaining of the two we originally had... she's the fat, dumb one) and the kittens. Oliver wasn't feeling too well, so he was always curled up with me... Just makes ya melt! ::lesigh:: Later once everyone was home, he was taken to the vet to get checked out, and with meds and canned catfood, he's got as much energy and playfulness as Max. I can't wait to post pictures of the fuzzballs, but once I dig out some digicamera, I'll get right on it!
