I don't know how I got here - I just woke up in the middle of the woods and found this book beside me, and I don't know who's responsible for the wings or the nightgown, but it's the middle of winter and I'm freezing, and I could get really sick from being exposed to this kind of weather without a coat or even shoes. [ pause. ] Although you've already kidnapped me and stuck a pair of wings on my back, so I guess my health isn't exactly your biggest concern.
Look, I'm sure you have some reason for bringing me here, but I can't be here. There are things going on at home. I need to make sure my family and friends are okay, and then there's the matter of school and helping set up for the masquerade ball. Can you just...take me back? Please?
