I'm trying to post this on every on-line resource available to me in hopes of making it available to other passengers that have recently lost their bags on American Airlines. Any suggestions of giving this topic exposure would be greatly appreciated.
I know there were a lot of people who didn't get there bags Sunday July 17th coming into Burbank on American Airlines Flight 1865. If you were one of them please contact me. I've been doing a lot of research; the most depressing thing I've found so far is that once you file a claim for a lost bag, you are signing over ownership of that bag to the airlines. Thus, if your bag does turn up the Airlines are not likely to inform you and instead they sell it.
http://www.thetravelinsider.info/travelaccessories/lostbaggagerights.htm I personally want my bag back. It had stuff in there I can't replace. I went to the Bob Hope Airport yesterday and they told me that 20 bags were still missing. If we could find each other and ban together I think we'd have a good case for a gross negligence law suit. Yes shit happens, but when it happens to that extent someone has to be responsible. Otherwise the max you'll receive is $2,800, and even at that, they are unlikely to pay that much.
If you were on that flight or flights around that time, the week of July 10th through July 20th and they have not recovered your bags please contact me. asdarwinsays@hotmail.com. If they did get your bags back to you, I'd like to know that as well.
Thanks so much
