Ah...

Sometimes I find myself doubting whether or not I chose the right uni course, dissertation topic, the right career path. As we all do, I suppose.

Then I find myself after a few minutes research with 20 tabs open and I'm falling over myself trying to figure out which one to read first, whilst simultaneously opening many more, and I actually realise just how interesting things like hedging, spread betting, derivative instruments, value added return (VAR), the risk/return paradox, and all those sort of things really are.

I've also, to find a productive means of procrastinating (which isn't really procrastinating as I need to do it anyway, just not today), been job hunting. Well, finding out about the graduate fair, anyway. It's next Tuesday, and some employers I'm keen to speak to will be there - including, bizarrely, RBS (that's bizarrely in that I'm keen to speak to them, not in their being there). Yes, I said I'd never work for them again as recently as yesterday, but their risk management programme appeals to me, and with 3 years experience in branches and a string of references from them I reckon I'd be in a pretty good place to get a job with them. £24k starting salary with £3k starting bonus? Yes please!

Ooh I can't wait for this!
