background: I recently purchased a Blackberry Curve from T-Mobile, the final 'deal' for me was that I got it for a penny @ Amazon.com + 50 dollar rebate. link here
there are some caveats to it, but it was worth it for the phone.
then of course on my rss feeds this morning, i see this.

I got a damn wi-fi phone so I could make free calls at starbucks through T-Mo!
(update: I guess after reading further, T-Mo hotspots will be there, but AT&T will be there as well? I don't get it. .)
