Got The Keys!
Syd and I drove down to Akron today to get her picture taken, pay the moving-in and first month's rent costs, and pick up the keys to our new apartment.
Since I hadn't taken any pictures at all when we looked at apartments a month ago, I overcompensated this time. However, it was for a good cause - first to give myself a reference point as I am planning things (and also to remind myself that, yes, it can be clean) and second to provide a frame of reference for my folks (Hi!) as we're discussing such things as decorating, etc. I also will have a one-car detached garage as part of the deal - but it isn't quite ready yet. In fact, nobody seems to know which "stall" will be mine. All I know is, it has its own lockable entrance and I can store stuff in it besides my car. YES. Looking forward to that.
