“Nino-chaaaan~”

Nino jolted; his concentration towards his game broke into pieces as the high-pitched voice could be heard piercing through the night. He paused his game, and then he looked questioningly at his door. He waited, and soon the high-pitched, drunken voice could be heard again. “Nino-chaaan~”

It was Ohno’s voice.

Nino frowned; for a moment, he wondered why he was here. But Ohno gave him no time to think because now he was knocking his door loudly, and since it’d be bad if his neighbors saw Ohno, he quickly dashed out. He unlocked the door, and he suddenly received a handful of Ohno Satoshi -

A handful of Ohno Satoshi that was completely drunk and couldn’t stop giggling for his own good.

“Nino-chan~” Ohno breathed as he clung to Nino. “Nino-chan~”

“Yeah, it’s me.” Nino mumbled as he hurriedly closed the door again; he tried to support Ohno as much as possible, and he dragged him to his bedroom. Thankfully Ohno was able to walk, though his brown eyes were already half-lidded, and it seems Ohno found everything to be worth-laughing at, because he immediately laughed as Nino threw him into his bed. “Nino-chan~” He slurred again.

“Yeah.” Nino replied as he looked around for his phone, planning on calling Jun and telling him that his god damn boyfriend was completely wasted at his place. “Why are you here?” He asked Ohno as he looked around for his phone - he swore he saw it on the desk before, probably, so where was it?

“I want to see you, of course!” Ohno giggled as he leaned to his side, and he giggled once more as Nino started looking around for his phone, hoping to find it despite how much of a mess his room was right now. “I stopped a taxi - the driver was sooo kind so I gave him lots of money!”

“Why are you alone?” Nino continued asking, though he didn’t really paid attention to Ohno. “Where’s Jun?”

“Jun is not here.” Ohno said seriously, but then he broke into laughter again. “This is Nino-chan’s house after all!”

Nino groaned inwardly at his response - he cheered when he found his phone on his bag - so he hadn’t take it out after all - and he was about to make a call when Ohno said,

“I love you, Nino-chan~”

Nino froze. He turned to stare at Ohno, and the older man was smiling at him sweetly as he opened his hands wide open. “Nino-chaan~”

Nino knew that Ohno was drunk, and he had this tendency of being so overly sweet and clingy when he did - this wasn’t the first time he ever said that to Nino after all.

But if he was to be honest, he felt happy.

Nino threw his phone away carelessly, and he scooted over to Ohno; the older man’s hands touched his neck clumsily, and then it slowly made it way to Nino’s cheeks. “Nino-chaan.”

“Satoshi.” Nino whispered softly; he then climbed into the bed and settled on top of Ohno, his hands placed between Ohno’s head, completely trapping Ohno under him. “Say it again.”

“What?” Ohno asked as he tilted his head; his eyes were half-lidded again and his hands fell to his side limply, and Nino knew that sooner or later, he’d probably fall asleep.

“That you love me.” Nino said as he caressed Ohno’s cheeks. “Say it again.”

“I love you.” Ohno said with a smile as he nuzzled Nino’s hand. “I love Nino-chan soooo much!”

“Again.” Nino demanded; by now, he knew that he sounded desperate, but he couldn’t stop. It felt heavenly - to hear the one that you truly love saying ‘I love you’ was very overwhelming after all, and Nino loved the warm feeling that was feeling his chest right now, flowing along with his blood throughout his whole being.

“I love you.” Ohno repeated obediently, but his eyes were closed now. “I love you…”

Nino watched Ohno slowly fell asleep under his gentle touch; his head was lulled to the side with his lips half opened, and god, Nino was so tempted. He let out a sigh, and he lowered his body to whisper on Ohno’s ears. “You can’t sleep.” He said. “Or I’ll take advantage of you.”

Ohno only replied with a soft sigh, and his hands went up to circle itself around Nino’s neck, securing him in place. “Nino-chan…”

Shit. Nino could feel tears prickling his eyes as he hugged Ohno tighter; he rested his head against Ohno’s neck, and he cried silently there. Ohno was emitting warmth against him, and although he smelled like alcohol, there was still a sweet scent of him lingering around, and Nino filled his lungs with that scent greedily.

He wondered why Ohno wasn’t his.

No, actually he knew why. It was because he was a coward. He was taking Ohno for granted; he never said anything to him, he never confessed. He knew that Jun was very affectionate towards Ohno too, but he never guessed that Jun loved Ohno, and he actually had the courage to act on it - to confess.

What surprised him the most was that Ohno said ‘yes’.

And after that, life has been hell for him. He have to pretend that he was okay after all; he have to swallowed down his unsaid confession, letting it rotten inside his chest. He has to watch Ohno happy every day.

But not because of him. Never because of him.

Nino knew that Ohno loved him too; but it was different with how he loved Jun. What he had said right now was probably true - but Ohno must’ve meant it as…brotherly love, maybe? He did say before that Nino was precious for him.

But not as precious as Jun. Because if he was, then the one who was able to kiss him every night, the one who was able to touch him and be engulfed with Ohno’s sweet scent everyday should be him.

But it was never him.

And all of sudden, Nino was angry. He was angry for his helplessness, but he was also angry because Ohno wasn’t his. He was angry, because now that he knew how warm Ohno was - because now that he knew that it felt this good to be able to hug him like this, he didn’t want to let him go anymore.

It was childish and irrational, but he was so desperate.

“I’ll really do it, you know.” He whispered brokenly against Ohno’s lips. “I’ll really take advantage of you.”

Ohno didn’t answer, too deep in his slumber, and so Nino started unbuttoning his shirt, one by one.

“Forgive me for this.”

Nino watched Ohno moved around in the bed from beside the opened window; he stretched and yawned widely, but then he hissed as he held his head. It took Ohno a minute to crack his eyes opened, and then he started looking around, perhaps wondering on where he was at the moment. His eyes found Nino’s, and then he spoke hoarsely, “Why am I here?”

Nino took a deep drag on his third cigarette that morning. “You’re completely drunk last night - don’t you remember?”

Ohno scrunched his nose as he tried to sit, and then he leaned against the headboard. “Nn…No. I don’t remember anything.”

Good. “You suddenly came to my place, already wasted. It’s so troublesome, you know.”

“Is that so?” Ohno grinned sheepishly at Nino. “I’m sorry, Nino.”

Nino only nodded; at that time, his phone started ringing again for the nth time that morning. Without reading the caller ID, he already knew who it was; he had purposefully not picking it up before, simply enjoying his ringtone and the fact that the other person must be really panicking right now.

Now though. It was the perfect time to answer it.

Nino picked up his phone, swirling it with a smirk, and then he answered it. “Hello?”

“Ah, Nino!” Jun said in a panic. “Nino, is Satoshi with you?”

Nino glanced at Ohno, who was looking back at Nino curiously. “Yeah. He’s here.”

“Thank God…” Jun breathed in relief, and to be honest, it annoyed him a bit. “I’ve been looking for him all day - he wasn’t at his home and he wouldn’t answer his phone after all…”

“Yeah well, he crashed into my place last night, completely wasted.”

“Why didn’t you tell me immediately? I could’ve picked him up.”

“Sorry about that. I was taking care of your boyfriend properly that I forgot to tell you.” Nino said quietly as he took another deep drag from his cigarette.

“Well, thank you for that, Nino.” Jun said, but he sounded a little bit suspicious.

Which was good. Really good.

“I’ll pick him up now, then.”

“Kay.” Nino hung up, and he stuffed his phone inside his pocket. He looked up to see Ohno still staring at him though, and so he put his cigarette off at the ashtray as he stood. “Jun will pick you up soon.”

“Ah, okay.” Ohno climbed off the bed too, and he immediately headed to the restroom without saying anything; Nino let him be, and he headed to the kitchen instead to prepare something to eat for both of them - he still have some onigiri after all, so maybe it’d be good enough. And orange juice too.

Ohno went out of the restroom; he was drying his face with the tissue, and once done, he flashed Nino a small smile. “What?” He asked playfully under Nino’s intense gaze.

“No.” Nino said pleasantly as he glanced at Ohno’s wrinkled shirt. “Nothing.”

They heated the onigiri in the microwave and then they ate them while chatting around; Ohno was feeling better after he drank a glass of water along with an aspirin, and he was already laughing over Nino’s snarky comments at his own words. When they were washing the glasses - and also playing around with the sponge - the bell rang, and Ohno grinned widely. “It’s Jun!”

Nino watched how Ohno eagerly headed to the front door; he opened the door, and Jun immediately hugged him.

Nino felt like puking.

He said nothing as the two was hugging; he did, however, cleared his throat when it seems like Jun was going to kiss Ohno, and when the two looked up, he glared at them. “God, don’t you dare making out at my place - do it at your place.” He told them intentionally.

Ohno laughed, completely oblivious to the hidden meaning on Nino’s words, and then he let Jun go with a gentle pat on his shoulders. “Yeah. Not here.”

“Well, right.” Jun grinned sheepishly at Nino as he bowed a bit. “Thanks a lot for taking care of him, Nino.”

“You’re welcome. Better put a leash on him.” Ohno sulked at his words, but even then he rushed to give Nino a hug, probably as his way to thank him. “Thanks a lot, Nino!”

Nino hugged Ohno back briefly, and then he felt guilt clenching at his heart.

You shouldn’t thank me.

They left not so long after that; Ohno was waving at him while Jun was holding his other hand. “Bye, Nino! See you soon!” He said. Nino only nodded, and he watched until the two disappeared on the lift.

What Ohno didn’t know was that probably, they really were going to meet each other again soon.

He closed his door, and then he walked back to his room, back to his seat beside the window. He lightened up his cigarette yet again, and he took a deep drag, greedily sucking the nicotine to wash away the guilt.

He wondered how Jun would react when he saw the blossoming red marks that Nino had left on Ohno’s body without the person himself knowing it. The marks were small, hidden perfectly on Ohno’s beautiful body at places where it’d make Jun angry the most. Nino knew that those small marks were enough to ruin everything.

And he’d be looking forward to it.
