So, it's been a while.
In personal news, the Botox really works for my migraines. One week off of it and I've had one for three days. My neurologist's office, which has a lovely answering system which includes eventually hanging up on you if you're on hold for too long, and taking ten plus business days to return your calls when you do get to leave a message, said that the earliest appointment I can get is on August 12th. I'm in for a super-fun month, guys.
In other news, I have started a company that sells BDSM toys made out of duct tape. It's an actual real company, registered with the state and county for tax purposes, planning on turning it into an SCorp, as opposed to me just dicking around and saying I'm starting a company. I'm not at the investor point yet, but if anyone is interested let me know. I'm totally not expecting anything, I really don't believe in mixing business with friendship, but I figured if I'm going to be offering shares to strangers I might as well let my friends have the opportunity as well. I also don't have pictures yet (Emily...), I need to get a better camera, but if anyone is interested in buying anything please let me know. Everything I sell is fully functional, by the way, not just a novelty. I will sell it cheaper to you because I know you, and I could really use the cash for start-up costs. Also, feel free to pimp my company out to anyone you know who might be interested in investing or buying stuff.
You know that old adage "You have to spend money to make money"? Well, I need to spend money to make a website, to buy either a tablet or smart phone so I can make credit card sales, pay for business cards, pay for an accountant, pay for a patent lawyer, pay for the patent process, pay to get to and from cons and the cost to vend and stay there. Basically, I need the monies. I am determined not to have any of the money going into this company come from my parents. They already do so much for me and I'm not going to ask them to make a several thousand dollar risk. I'm also lucky in that I have friends that are fabricators, finance majors, intellectual property lawyers and that the BDSM vending and homemade goods communities is very supportive.
Oh, I also have a new kitten. Well, she's not new for me, I've had her a month, but she's new since my last post. She's a long haired black cat with random individual white hairs interspersed throughout. I'm sharing her with DJ, which is good because I don't think either of us could afford the initial vet visits independently. We named her Teashi, pronounced Tay-ah-shi, which means hands and feet in Japanese, because she has 7 toes on her front paws and 5 on her back paws, so she's all hands and feet. She is super cute. When I get a decent picture of her I'll make it my user-pic, but it's hard to get a decent picture of a black cat. She and Iga get along really well. They're almost always found together and we had to start giving Iga hairball prevention treats along with Teashi because he grooms her so much.
It's nice to end things on a good note, so I'll leave it off here.
