Yay for extended family
So today my family was randomly invited to this dinner with my cousin Lou, his wife Barb, and a bunch of cousins I didn't know. The last time most of these people had seen me I was just a wee little baby. One of the cousins and her husband had a girl Travis's age they brought along with them. I talked to her through most of the dinner. She most certainly was a character. She talked SO much, and I didn't mind listening, so it worked out all right. She was getting ready to start high school. Talking to her reminded me of when I was her age...the summer before I started high school. She was SO excited about high school, and her dad had me give her advice and tell her what to expect. All in all it was a fun dinner...always interesting meeting relatives you never knew you had. The only bad thing about the whole situation was that I had to miss movie night at Joel's...especially since I was in that neck of the woods for that dinner anyway. Mother insisted that I go to that dinner, though. Grrr...
