“Vanity and pride are different things, though the words are often used synonymously. A person may be proud without being vain. Pride relates more to our opinion of ourselves; vanity, to what we would have others think of us.”
Consider this, then, my admission of both. I would have you read my blog in the hopes that your validation of my words - the support and the discouragement both - spur my goal further into reality - to continue writing; because it is no longer simply for myself, but for all who are now aware it is there, and for all who wish to know more... whatever their motives.
My pride and my vanity, for the extent of this post, cooperate in order to meet their own higher goals - and the two of them invite you to read my written word. I cannot promise that either of us will not be disappointed - but as far as blogs go, I can at least promise to avoid the norm. Lastly - I am posting this in a community space because it is the only method I know to reach out and yet remain anonymous. Please forgive me and remove the post if it does not abide by the rules.
