(no subject)
After calculating my grade averages up to this point...
Social Psych: 86
Math: 89 (holy shit)
English/Short Story: 90
Stress and Coping Seminar: 87
Contemporary Moral Problems: 85-89 (he just gives letter grades, so a B+)
ANNDDDDD i just stayed up teaching myself the entire 5 chapters that will be on my math exam tomorrow, so failure is no longer on the horizon. I'm pretty much dominating life this semester.
On another note, today at work I discovered the one and only child I've ever met who I REALLY think has a legitimate case of ADD. I mean, serious. It took him over an hour and a half to do 3 workbook pages for homework. In the middle of it he starts telling me a story about a cartoon elephant who likes peanuts. This is pretty much word for word:
Jack: And the elephant said, I certainly like peanuts! Did you know my bedtime is 8:30?
Me:...the elephant's bedtime was 8:30?
Jack: No, mine.
Me: ...oh. Thats good. What other homework do you have to do?
Jack: Spelling words. Do you think everyone likes the color red?
Me: I dont know...I like the color red, do you?
Jack: Yeah, but elephants don't like mice.
Me: ...oh?
Jack: Both my brothers got detention for spitting.
Me: .......
And at that point, he decided to throw one of those rubber pencil grips across the room and ran to go get it. If there was ever a desperate cry for help (and ritalin), this was it. But it was entertaining, none the less.
Ok back to cramming for math :(
