I'm a compulsive editor. I notice stuff like that but then I also tend to feel that to some extent that stuff just isn't that important. I'm interested in the story. I am captured by the specialness. My brain often just self replaces the word as I'm going along... I think that's why often when I try to edit *myself* I miss the boat because I'm doing the replace on myself in my head.
I know this was long and rambly... I am the queen of long and rambly mayhaps... but the point still is there, right, right.
