So, it's not 06/06/06 anymore. However, I did celebrate it by going to see The Omen with Allegra. Damn, it was scary! It was actually lame and laughable at certain parts, but it was frightening in the sense that it relied on sudden grotesque images for an intense emotional effect. What made the movie enjoyable was that the whole audience, which was huge (when we arrived forty-five minutes before the movie started, there was already a long line), was engrossed in the film. A lot of the audience members had strong verbal and visceral reactions to the sporadic creepy scenes. After a shocking shot of one character's face, the black guy sitting on my right said, "Whoa! That nigger is ugly!" So, that comment was nice for relieving the suspense. It also made me urinate and wet my pants. The movie featured the actress who played Daisy Buchanan from the movie version of The Great Gatsby that we watched in Ms. Reinheimer's class junior year. The woman's name is Mia Farrow. She played a creepy nanny. The movie also starred the actor who played Professor Remus Lupin in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - David Thewlis. I love seeing connections to Harry Potter! The little boy who played Damien was just adorable when he didn't look satanic with that deathly pale skin, red under-eye circles, and sinister smirk. Also, jackal (as in, the animal) skeletons appear quite out-of-place on the silver screen. I noticed that tonight. Man, I'm so jittery right now from that movie, though. Seriously! Eek!
Oh, by the way... WE ARE *FUCKING* GRADUATING FROM MIRA LOMA HIGH SCHOOL IN THREE *MOTHERFUCKING* DAYS!!!
