I'm glad K is back too, but I was annoyed at the way he discussed our labs (and ignored his role in the fiasco that was the last six weeks or so of bio, in general). Maybe they would have been better if we had actually known what the assignment was before we went on break.

Agreed. I am also pretty upset that he lied to us about our labs (at first they wouldn't count because we would have other ones that we could use as our official labs, and then they became the only full labs from this year that were sent to Brazil). But, according to K., they won't affect our I.B. grades that much because they weren't atrocious, just mediocre. Still, it's not like anyone is going to actually manage a 7 this year (except this cunt ass beazy (j.k.!)), what with the fiasco of which you speak. I'm sure that for a lot of people, including myself, the goal of getting a 7 on the exam has downshifted to passing with a 4 or 5.

Same here. I was thinking 6...now I'll be thrilled if I get a 5 and satisfied with a 4.

It's sad that it has come to this. Oh, well. I had the same mindset last year right around the time of the Anthro. exam, which I promised myself at the beginning of junior year that I would ace. But on the day of the test, it was more along the lines of "Oh, God, please let me get a 4!"

It true, but we all knew Mrs. Lord was scaring us into thinking we couldn't pass because she does that every year. I think most of us felt somewhat confident about passing. For me, bio is a completely different situation. Besides, K said he thought we could all do fine, which tells me that he still has no idea how bad things got with Wofford.

Yeah. It's pretty much a crapshoot, then. We're going to have to solely rely on our own studying to get us through a big portion of the material from the syllabus. However...the only thing we could hope to do now is to review with K. as much as he is willing. He did mention that he would go over the liver with us and he admitted that Wafford did not do a good job lecturing on that topic (just that one, K.?) But I think we would all feel a lot more secure if he reviewed anatomy/physio. with us. The problem is that anatomy/physio. is a HUGE topic and the "review" that would be required for us to feel comfortable with it would actually involve K. teaching it to us from square one, because Wafford did jack shit. I know that in a few months we're all going to look back on this situation and have a hearty laugh or two about our miserable desperation, but right now it seems pretty bleak.

You're absolutely right. The only way that we could ever feel comfortable with anatomy/physio is if we just relearned it all from K.

I'm also just the tiniest bit more pissed because of something rather insulting K said in fifth today. He talked about how Wofford is used to teaching "intellectuals" and that we'd be amazed at how much information middle schoolers can absorb and how, as seniors, we're tired and we're ready to leave and therefore can't learn as easily (I guess). Bull. Shit. Wofford is used to to teaching people who are easily intimidated and bullied and who actually take his condescending crap to heart. Also, speaking personally, I wasn't ready to be done with bio until Wofford came on the scene, but thanks for the vote of confidence, Mr. K.
