• Kelly will be performing for the pope!!

Dr. Jennifer Pascual, director of music at St. Patrick's Cathedral and director of all the music at the liturgical events for the papal visit in the Archdiocese of New York confirmed with me today that Kelly Clarkson is indeed singing at one of the events, but not the "Concert of Hope" as I had reported on this blog earlier. Rather, she will be performing the "Ave Maria" at the youth festival being held at St. Joseph's Seminary. The event, as well as the Mass at Yankee Stadium, are being produced by Stig Edgren of SEG Events, the same production company that produced Pope John Paul II's 1995 Mass in Central Park.

• Manchester cancelled!!

Sorry UK Kelly fans, but the Manchester show that was supposed to be 3.14 is, until further notice, canceled.

Why? Kelly has laryngitis from straining her vocal chords the last show because the band played too loud, forcing Kelly to sing louder to be heard. Apparently, the sound technician wasn't doing his job right on the monitor.
However, Kelly is still making the band rehearse. Also, Kelly has gotten a doctor to help with her ear, nose and throat issue.

However, knowing Kelly, she will probably reschedule the show like she did before once. Some say that Glasgow, the next show on the 17th, will still go on.

Get well soon, Kelly!
