Wow, what a great night! I had so much fun watching Kelly & meeting all of the Expressers. My mom & I got there around 5pm. When we were pulling into the parking garage, all of a sudden I heard Kelly's voice, so I rolled down the window. Turns out, it was sound check, which we caught the very end of it. So that was cool. After we found our seats, my mom had a random encounter with a security guard who told her a cute story about meeting Kelly. He said that someone came up behind him & pulled his hair, so he turned around and asked the girl if she had a pass. "Oh, I guess you don't know who I am. I'm Kelly Clarkson," she said. So the guard asked her, "Did you just pull my hair?" To which Kelly replied, "Yeah, I wanted to see if it was real." How cute is she? (...)
The show started & John what's-his-name came out. He was okay, but not too memorable for me (sorry dude!). Then we were waiting for Kelly. Now I love surprises, so I had no idea what the show would be like. I loved the opening where it looked like the album cover--that was so cool! But I didn't love the flashy light show after that. I seriously thought that I was having a seizure or going blind. haha Also, everyone was crowding the aisles, which was kind of annoying. People kept bumping into me the whole time, but whatever. Other than that, the show was great. Except for one note, which Kelly said was her "going through puberty," she sounded fantastic. Loved, loved, loved the concert, as always. Some random Kelly comments throughout the show:
"You're a woman touching my leg, and I like boys, so that might be a problem"
"I ran into an ex...He was such an ass...Oops, I almost said his name. His name is Jackass" (at least I think that's what she said)
And of course, there was the awesome moment when Vicky tossed the bottle of Chivas up to the stage, Kelly caught it one-handed, swigged it, and tossed it back. (...)
