Well, I've fucked up. I ordered a new hard drive, but I forgot to make sure it would be delivered by the Royal Mail. It's therefore no big surprise that yesterday I found a note from City Link indicating that it'd been left with [something unreadable] at [my flat]. Great

The Royal Mail aren't exactly paragons of efficiency and thoroughness either. I've frequently had them fail to deliver items and not even bother to leave me a note to tell me.

Once I phoned up the depot to ask if something (a broomstick) had arrived (they said it hadn't), then angrily sent a message to the sender asking why they had failed to send something so important.

A month later, I went to pick something else up from the depot, and there was my parcel, right behind the desk. They said it had been there for ages, and made enough jokes about it. Also they ensured me that their delivery guy was very good and would never fail to leave a note. Royal Mail are incompetent liars, as I suspect are City Link.

In theory yes, they're at my parents' house, in a box with a lot of my other stuff that I've been unable to get access to for a while. I wouldn't mind having a rummage through that to see what else is there. I don't as a rule steal things from people ;)

Then there's the matter of getting them to him, as I've only actually seen him once in the last few years, and that was by chance.

Thanks! I saw your comment and I said "hey, don't you know a spacelem?" and he said "spacelem? Ask him to bring my Escaflowne dvds back!" and carried on playing TF2, lol. And I hear you got married not long ago too! Congrats :)
