Christmas was lovely. Instead of gift-wrapping the CD we made and letting mom open it, I put it on while we were exchanging gifts. I played "Still Still Still" and she started crying immediately. What a sucker!
Aaaaand the movie lover's basket was a hit, specifically because my dad apparently LOVES "buttered popcorn" flavored Jelly Bellies. That was a lucky coincidence!
It was really nice to see everyone, sit around the table, enjoy good food, and just chat. Even the dogs got along nicely. I really am fortunate to have the family I do. Even though we don't see eye to eye on a lot of things, we really do love each other.
