marriage postsecret
I'm not sure how many of you read postsecret, but I still love the stuff. I find that I identify with a lot of them, or at least have at one time or another. This is how I felt after I dropped christianity and before I met Joe. It's nice to know that now when I say "I don't know if marriage is for me" it's not a lie anymore.
It seems hard for a lot of my loved ones to understand that. Why would marriage not be the natural next step for us? We love each other don't we? I can't explain it. I guess it goes back to that whole "contrived by man" thing. If we love each other, we don't need to sign papers to the effect. And if he's gonna leave me or I'm gonna leave him, no signature is going to change that. Sorry, I know that's a really depressing thing to say, but hey it's the truth ain't it?
