Carolyn's Journey to Adderstone
Hi Everyone! Over the next few weeks, the members of Adderstone will be sharing their stories and this is mine.
A little over 4 years ago (wow, it's hard to believe it's been that long!), three women made a pact to start taking bellydance classes. We had all watched HoK at the Vogue and been completely enamored and fascinated by what we saw. Those gorgeous ladies were amazing! Deidra made the leap and signed Juliet and I up with her for Kendra's classes. That started a whole new chapter in all of our lives and over these 4 years I have learned so much and gained a lot of confidence and even ventured out of my shell a bit.
When Kendra decided to make Adderstone a "formal" student troupe, it created a whole new level of loving support. These girls care about each other, support each other, and encourage each other so much. It's something I had never experienced before. I feel so blessed to be a part of this group in all its incarnations, past, present and future!
I'd like to thank my friends and family for supporting me in this time consuming hobby. Particularly Patrick who has been my test audience more times than I can count!
