BOTH Kyouya's are crossdressing?!!

What exactly is the White Elephant gift exchange?

I'm glad you asked. It's a tradition in which everyone brings an unwanted gift, and trades with others. It's both in the holiday spirit and frequently quite humorous as well.

It's also entirely idiotic, but the morale among the workers must be pandered to, sadly enough.

Oh. That sounds sort of fun. [reads over the announcement again]

Hey, what's this about cutting back on food? Am I considered a peasant?

Unfortunately, I'm unable to determine how the specific budget cuts will impact each individual. For further information, I'm afraid you'll need to contact your nearest royal representative.

But I wouldn't worry; all cuts are for the overall good of the kingdom.

I don't have a royal representative! I didn't even know we had royalty here.

These sorts of things can be looked into, I assure you.

Are the roses that important? The white ones are nice too.

I believe this issue was explained to satisfaction in the memo. The trouble is not the color, but the projected loss in revenue.

However, if food is such a concern to you, have you considered a job in royal employ? Rose painters are needed at the moment, and they are exempt from the current round of budget cuts.

But rose painting is so... pointless. Who wants roses covered in paint?

Managed efficiently, it should be suitable, though no replacement for a correctly done original.

However, I am pleased to hear that food isn't of particular concern.

What? No! I want food! But just market white roses instead of red! Painting them is crazy! It will take forever!

Now, now. I'm certain you're not suggesting a peasant knows better than your queen.

I don't even remember when we got a queen!

Don't you think that's the kind of thing you should pay better attention to?

Well how did you get the job?
