The Spice of Life, that bland pub on London's Cambridge Circus, has a wonderful basement venue where they keep the lights on and the sound isn't drowned in bass. We discovered that The Rumble Strips are starting a Dexy's Midnight Runners revival. This is happening without your permission.
Prom 11: Bernstein/Ives/Stravinsky. The Albert Hall's restored organ failed and was replaced by a synthesizer for Ives' symphony. Stravinsky's most famous work is being performed on August 16 and my friend proposed a re-enactment of the Riot of Spring. Join us!

Thanks to atommickbrane and publicansdecoy for organizing another LiveJournal Scrabble tournament in Green Park this afternoon. Playing Scrabble in French is no handicap for the formidable verlaine: he even found a bingo, SECONDE (with FAUTEUILS). Now those are what I call bons mots.
