CANON NAME: Deadman Wonderland
MEDIA TYPE: Manga
CHARACTERS WANTED: GANTA AND SHIRO and anyone else!
WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH/PLAY/READ: First of all, awesome characters. Every character is vibrant and unique and most of all deep. Even Ganta, who could easily fall into a really dull "shonen hero" rut, is multi-faceted and interesting. He has courage, but he still doesn't know where he stands.

Second, the story, while unique simply in it's premise, is also very well executed. Things aren't all ways as they seem and plot twists are shocking and exciting, without seeming like ass pulls. The mystery of Ganta and Shiro's past is also kept exciting as bits of information are slowly leaked but the over all mystery is still intriguing. Plus the story exists in arcs, so when one part ends, an entirely new story begins, but is clearly influenced by the rest of the story.

And finally, the art. DMW has amazing and lovely art. The character designs are interesting and fun to look at, while also being unique. The artist has a knack for drawing great expressions, both for battle scenes and humorous parts.

Also fair warning, it's gory, but not... gory for the sake of gore? Like all the messed up stuff isn't so much to shock/disgust you as to make you go "wow, this is one shitty messed up place."
