He suspects Light is not actually interested in Fujiyoshi the way he claimed he was, but while there's still something weird about him, he's "solved" it and "won" at least in as far as Light admitted a fake defeat, so pride doesn't require him to go after it when he's lost interest. He's more interested in putting Light to use... which, since he doesn't have any detective tasks, is perhaps better put as "he's more interested in counting Light amongst his possessions." If Naoto ever starts playing regularly again, he'll set them up against each other for his own amusement, but since he has at least one detective in Light now, he's come to accept the fact that Naoto's not really enough of a presence to count as his beyond as a technicality anymore.

He enjoyed the tennis match because it seemed to be the answer to that 'something' that's off in Light; he can't put a name on it, but there was the sense of "Oh, okay, yeah, I can get this guy even if the 'answer' we agreed on was a fake." He understands things like competitiveness.

Will still pretend to think he's in love with Fujiyoshi just to be a pain in the ass and see how long Light will keep it up.
