I would first like to complain about LJ not sending me a notif for this. Anyway.

Issei really likes Yosuke! Sure, his personality is a little laidback for Issei's tastes, and Issei'll be the first to go 'dude, the girls are going to kill you for that' when it's appropriate, which is a lot of the time. But Issei always knows that he means well and is serious when the situation calls for it, and he's grateful to have a normal friend looking out for him. Besides, kicking ass alongside someone is good for building up a friendship, and probably more than once Issei beat the crap out of a Shadow who went after Jiraiya's weakness. Yosuke is his friend, and anyone who messes with him will have Issei to answer to, even if his usual method of revenge is glaring ineffectually rather than Persona beatdowns.

Hm, let's see, Rider is still his friend who, as far as he's aware, barely notices his existence. He might be a tad more willing to admit that he likes her, since his Shadow went 'I like people who will never like me, sob' and he went 'dammit, you're me'. She has an adorable daughter now who he wants to pick up and cuddle forever. Other than that, I think things are mostly the same between them.

Rock is a good friend! Though they 'met' while Issei was possessed, Rock was very understanding that it wasn't Issei's fault, and Issei in turn holds a fondness for the heroic types. He forgave him for the whole massive pranking thing, and Rock's willing to answer his questions about robotness. Which is nice. Rock's shadow made him go 'no way, I'm not going to abandon you!' and worry about him like crazy; he's a little weirded out by being Rock's 'hero'.

Issei honestly doesn't think about him being a robot very much, now. It's like 'yes, he's a robot, and I've made friends with penguins. What's your point?'

Different kind of penguin. This one was blue and king of Dreamworld. Ha, I miss having him in the community.

Yep, we did! And he and Issei got along really well, weirdly enough.

Naoto, Naoto, Naoto. Naoto has always been supportive of him. She makes him feel like he's just as important as the rest of the heroic figures here. In turn, he does his best to keep her from feeling down on herself. She's a very, very good friend, and apparently he's her best friend - which kind of makes Issei raise an eyebrow, although he's been in love with his best friend for years, so he's kind of biased

Well, Issei is one of a small, elite group that Naoto refers to as her "best friends." VIP, exclusive access, baby!

Huuuuuur! Naoto really does need the support right now, especially since she's convinced half the comm is turned against her because, let's face it, Hakuba is popular and well-liked. So, anyone who hurts him is probably in big trouble.

Naoto's probably in need of some spiritual guidance right about now! A little trip to the temple would be a good thing for her. Besides, it's only fair that she let Issei entertain, for once.
