French-speakers please!!!

I am Russian-born, but have lived in Cambridge, England since I was 2. I am therefore bilingual in English and Russian (though, naturally stronger in my english). I have just moved to Switzerland a couple of months ago to take an Illustration Degree in a small art college in Lausanne. Unfortunately, my french was virtually non-existant when i moved here so i have struggled getting by a little. It's definitely picked up, and though i understand most of what I'm told but because my course doesnt really require much talking, my french has come on slower than i wouldve liked. Because im surrounded by a tight group of native speakers, I generally feel uncomfortable/unable to participate in their conversations so opt to stay quiet instead. I would however, very much love to practice my french by making friends here, as i am naturally a sociable person and struggling not having any friends and being able to talk to anyone :(
I'm also more than willing to help anyone with English or Russian (though my Russian grammar may not always be 100% perfect?)
