This has been one hell of a fall. Started things off with Eastern Promises and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, both great. Saw Halloween, a bit of a dud. Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D, which I loved. The Darjeeling Limited which I loved. 30 Days of Night which was good if not all that scary. The theater was colder as hell though, wonder if they did it on purpose. Thanksgiving night saw No Country for Old Men, which holy shit is one of the best Cohen Bros. films I've seen. Day after I saw Beowulf in 3D. It was ok, worth seeing in 3D. The backgrounds and some of the CG was amazing. The dragon fight was pretty cool.
Going to see The Mist this Saturday hopefully. Also need to check out I'm Not There and the Joe Strummer documentary that starts Friday here. I forget the name but it was directed by Julien Temple who did the excellent The Filth and The Fury, also did The Great Rock n Roll Swindle. I missed End of the Century in theaters I won't miss this one.
