I'm Through
I went back to school it's kinda weird, but I'm used to it. Only taking 7 hours. I have classes on my days off, which is Tuesday, Thursday. But with the 40 hours of work it feels like I have very little free time.
After class I went to the store with the intent of picking up From Beyond, The Burning and maybe Scarecrows and Tales From the Crypt/Vault of Horror. FOUR stores later I come back with only From Beyond. As of now I am done with brick and mortar stores. Besides my taste in film has gotten too out there lately. Maybe if some stores have a kick ass sale but other than that I'm sick of them. I'll be ordering The Burning with the new releases of Let Sleeping Corpses Lie and Don't Torture a Duckling, neither of which I've seen but have heard great things about them. I'll probably throw in The Deathless Devil/Tarkan versus the Vikings double feature from Mondo Macabro (they are quickly becoming my favorite DVD company with the out there titles they're putting out). Can't wait for the R1 release of Mystics in Bali. Is Scarecrows any good? The only good scarecrow movie I've seen in Dark Night of the Scarecrow.
I also saw Born to Fight recent. Good movie but soooo cheesy. At times it felt like a cross between a Thai propaganda film and a bastard sequel to Gymkata. But with stunts that would make me sit up and say "Holy shit!"
