Name:  Cartimanduas

Age: 30

Location: Michigan

About Me:  I'm a married lady, no kids, one dog, one laptop, and need friends stat!  I am a full-time student, hoping to graduate in May with a BA in English. I am considering continuing my schooling to become a teacher, or something?? I would love to visit London someday!!

Other things I like are coffee shops, bookstores, procrastination, music, work-out videos, sunshine, crafting/sewing, reading, taking photos of scenery, and people with a sense of humor. . .

About My Journal: I am brand-new to LJ, so I don't have very many entries yet, but I like to write about pretty much anything, i.e. boring, real-world observation-y type stuff that doesn't really lead to any kind of epiphany . . .

What I Write: I have some short stories under my belt, Americana type stuff, like marriage, jobs, loss, and maybe a few references to WWII thrown in. I have also just joined NaNoWriMo yesterday, (my username is the same over there as it is over here) so I am working on a novel from scratch.  So far, it's going to be a romance with a little bit of mystery thrown in.

What I Don't Write: Probably not sci-fi, at least not yet.

What I Read: My two most favorite authors of all time are Augusten Burroughs and Anne Tyler.  I have also read all of the Harry Potter books and all of the Sookie Stackhouse books. I also recently read Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children--Awesome book!!  I like everything from romance & chick lit, to Holocaust memoirs.  I don't read much sci-fi anymore, but I do like some elements of fantasy thrown in every once in a while.  I like mystery, supernatural, literary fiction, memoirs/autobiographies, I'm pretty much game for anything.

Could I Edit Someone Else's Work:  I could certainly try!

I like any and all kinds of people in general, even though I may be somewhat of an introvert, so I look forward to getting to know some people! I am new to LJ, so I don't have many journal entries yet!!
