Name: Natalie.

Age: Old enough?

Location: Atlanta, Georgia.

About Me: I've been told I have a chaotic mind (some examples posted in my profile bio) in innumerable ways. I am an utterly helpless overachieving perfectionist, and I tend not to post any literary works until they're as close to what I'd like them to be. I am mainly a character writer, as most of my stories and poems focus on either a character or a group of characters and their psychology or philosophy. I write a lot of prose and I try to incorporate higher level words into what I write, somewhat subconsciously at times. I am most inspired at night, but all kinds of oddities can trigger an idea. I write and start a lot of stories but I become too scared to post them in the rough for feedback, which causes me to have a lot of half-written/nearly completed-but-not-quite stories. Writing has helped me a lot in terms of my psyche and my schoolwork, as being a writer means I can write essays and vent more efficiently and [hopefully] better than the average non-consistently-writing person. I'm pretty self-deprecating and self-effacing, though, and I love to make people laugh above all.

About My Journal: I don't post as much of my writing as I should. The posts alternate between observations and real life, with strange, er, tales in between. I post poetry every now and then to communities, but I'm trying to come out of my shell as a writer.

What I Write: Philosophical fiction, realism, psychological realism, meta-realism, black humor, observational satire, short stories, prose, novellas, character studies, fan fiction, science fiction, psychological black comedies, poems, lyrics, screenplays, novels, essays, reviews, articles, comics and whatever else I feel compelled to do.

What I Don't Write: Fantasy, non-fiction, historical fiction, action/adventure fiction, and horror-romance fiction. I try to keep my mind open but somethings I don't like to do for pleasure, while others I just shouldn't attempt.

What I Read: Pretty much everything I write and anything else in between. I can be very selective on what I read for enjoyment at times, but typically if it fits into anything I write then I won't be too discriminating.

What I Don't Read: Everything I don't write.

Could I edit someone else's work: Edit as in grammar and spelling? With enough sleep, I could, but I'd prefer to be the one edited as the discrepancies of literary mechanics can be very tedious for my patience.

What I'm looking for: People who will stand by me and poke me with a stick to post what I'm writing in a rough format first, then actually finish it, then to point out what's good and bad about it to help me. People who will listen to my jokes and hopefully find them funny. Nice people who share similar interests as me. People, really.
