What's the ruling?
Played in a (live) tournament on Sunday. The place we have here on the island does not have the best tournament rules interpretation (for example, when moving players they take the smallest stack, which is horrible). The following situation comes up:
Blinds are 1500-3000. UTG makes it 7000. I don't see his raise (which may or may not be material to the ruling) and say "8500". That's it, I don't say raise, I don't say more, just "8500". What is the correct ruling?
