Triumphs of a weekend in the sun...
(I was trying to be clever with the "in the sun" because it was at Del Sol. I'm not sure how that worked out.)
So I recieved and Excellent on my song which I am definitely okay with. I didn't deserve a Superior, and actually would've been pissed if I'd gotten one because that would've meant that they were grading leniently. All the criticism was valid, and I can't wait to fix it before State =].
MY MONOLOGUES, however, were another story. I was ONE POINT away from a Superior hahaha. Literally. Damn. Oh well. And mostly, I only really had comments about my dramatic one. They LOVED my comedic one. So I figure if I work on the dramatic piece, I can definitely at least make up that one point next time haha.
I'm just proud of Liberty in general. We got Superiors for 10 events, and our one act got a superior (which might be included in that 10, but still). And then after that, several more people got Excellents. Yay. =]
Oh yeah, and... I made Opening Number... AGAIN haha. I didn't think it was going to be as big of a deal as it was last year, but I really am just as excited. I kind of wanted to be involved every year I was eligible. So, I think I'll do so.
I think I am fulfilling my resolution of kicking butt in theatre. I definitely did way better than I did that last year. Quite exciting.
And now, it's Sunday aka "homework day", "everything you've been putting off during the week because you weren't home day", "the worst day of the week". Back to reality, I suppose. I wish life could be a theatre conference.
