So i've been out of work since my birthday, the lost of job was emotionally devastating and has been taking its toll on me. Apt is in pretty good shape, I'm cleaning out the closet yeah I know again. I've cut my expenses to bare min. Well no I haven't I need to adjust car insurance, I'm pretty sure with my car being a 2006 I can do some adjusting. I kept cable but got that reduced and added a phone to the service. One year contract and since I can't move I'm renewing lease here for a year so that will line up.
Which brings me to why the Tiny House.
Growing up I watched shows like Mary Tyler Moore, I loved the huge house she lived in, A Frank Lloyd Wright house. Mary's apt with her fold out bed always fascinated me, I wanted to know what her bathroom looked like, but then Rhoda's room. She was so cool, all her beads and stuff.
My Grandparents house, If I ever play the lottery and win, that house will be mine. My Aunt and Uncle live there now, I love that house, and in dreams of home and security that is where I am. My room was the attic. slanted ceiling A tiny staircase that has a sharp turn half way up and a railing you can lean over to yell if someone calls you from the 1st floor. A little window that because the house is a corner lot you can see the whole world. Oh and the other half of the attic was a closet that was 100% cedar wood. If you open that door you are infused with the smell of cedar and moth balls. The main floor always smells of rich creamy foods.
Harold and Maude the movie for those who aren't familiar with the names. Harold lived in a museum size house. Cool to look at but sterile. Now Maude, Maude lived in a train. I don't remember it being very bright, but I guess she had lots of curtains. I saw the train house the same way Harold did. The window that opened with the skeet shooter to spread seeds for the birds, the smell of snow, art work and mismatched saucers. the mantle with her umbrella.
Hagrid's hut. Simple, cozy, home.
