Uh oh! Somebody's got a case of the Mondays!!

I really should watch "Office Space" again. Such a good movie.

Happy birhtday, alk!!! Yay 1/4 century!! :) I remember when I used to work at the CBS, my boss (who'd brought in a cake for someone turning 64 a couple of weeks before) told me the reason that I didn't get a cake for my birthday was because 25 wasn't a 'milestone' birthday. WTF Ever. You're 25!! Enjoy it! :)

Dust is still in the air and my arms are still all scratched up from the massive clean up and organizational effort that happened here on Saturday. I've got a new desk (with 300% more storage space! I now have three drawers in my desk and three filing cabinet drawers! WOO!) and should (hopefully) be getting myself an LCD monitor which will free up more desk space. No, I'm not back in my old office again. I wish. Whatever, though. Still have a few things to tidy up and put away before my workspace is totally cleaned.

Grammie flew in on Wednesday for the weekend. My Dad's 55th birthday was on Saturday. We had pizza and cake! I had to work at the store yesterday, although, I don't believe that anything should be open on Remembrance Day, but that's just me. (I did get paid time and a half though.)

Almost everyone has today off, so the drive to work was relatively quick. Mom and Dad took Grammie to the airport this morning, John starts his new job tomorrow. Deena (roomie 1) has quit her job and is eager to start looking for another and is bummed out that a lot of places are going to be closed today. Roomie 2, Debbie, has the day off, but gets paid this week, so things won't be quite as bad as they might have been with just Deena and I. Deena's excited because she'll be sure to qualify for assistance at the gym now.

Two of the three printer/copiers in the building need maintenance, but things are closed, so no luck for me today.

Supposedly a friend of the family's workplace is looking for another IT person. While I am geekily inclined, I'm not sure if I could do IT. I don't have the knowledge, and I'm not too sure how that would affect me. I could always apply and see what goes on, I don't have the IT skills I think I'd need. I can troubleshoot some problems, I can do minor hardware maintenance (swapping out hd's, installing new RAM, etc), I have no problems installing software, but I'm not sure what they'd need server-side. I usually reboot the server here when it needs to be, since we don't have onsite IT.

OH! I figured out that my computer here doesn't have sound drivers installed. I want to remedy that.

I have hockey at 6:30 tonight, then a friend is coming over afterwards to play GH2, I think. Tomorrow night I'm heading to the Y for the first time (I'm finally mostly not sick!) with Mom for a deep water aquafit class. We'll see how that goes. Wednesday I think I'm hitting the gym again with artic_panther. Thursday is Brownies, and I think Friday Dawn's coming over. Deena said something about Dawn missing us (me and Debbie) so she wants some hang out time.

I need to finish getting my bedroom in order and organized so I can work on the non-messy.

... I really should get to work.

How's it going, flist? Tell me something interesting.

gym, hockey, monday, work
