The ChocoDippedRyan is Dead! Long live the Adaptive_Menace!
Thanks to Rhyannon, my journal will no longer be named ChocoDippedRyan.
No. That was high school. I am too old to be dipped in chocolate and not have it carry some sort of sexual connotation.
Now, my journal will be known as Adaptive_Menace.
The name comes from one of my all time favorite short stories, "I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream", by Harlan Ellison. The evil computer in the book A.M. starts out as Allied Mastercomputer -- as it gains sentinence though, it becomes the Adaptive Manipulator (I wanted this for my journal name but it was too long.), finally once the computer becomes a god it is known as Aggressive Menace.
I figured the closest, and most clever literary allusion for me to steal for my new LJ was to combine the two last names together and create Adaptive_Menace.
I rather like the fit.
