three blocks away from central park. there was this moment of instability, when oma said, "hey remy, maybe you should just go to montreal; hey remy, why not get a job at home; hey remy, i don't know if this is going to work out," but it did, as it always does, because it should.
ten day countdown. i'm taking the necessities (dresses) and a lot of stamps and a writing implement.
i'm glad to be leaving berkeley. i'm glad to be going somewhere alone. i'm glad that i've found myself reassured that finding a place to live is not that hard, and that upon returning to the west coast in the beginning of september, i will get to repeat this process in the beautiful city of santa cruz, which i miss tangibly; it's discernible and weighty and solid. i also have a strong desire to be in school, to be learning something, to be in classes.
ten days. one spent selling hot dogs to attractive gay men. one spent selling oodles of clothing to buffalo exchange; crossroads, etc. eight more to fill. preferably with more things that put cash in my pocket.
