Dean & Selina: Like all of Selina's closest relationships, it's complicated. Dean's attachment to her brother drives her absolutely nuts (namely because she's too independent and has never understood being attached to people like that), and sometimes she doesn't believe she can actually take him seriously. But, in a lot of ways, she sees that he's like her. He's in pain over Lisa/Mysterious-Ex-With-Kid, like has dealt him a shit hand, and he's damaged. While she doesn't actually think he'll be there if she ever really needed someone there, she likes the idea that he might be. He's struck the same cord in her that Bruce did, in entirely different ways, which ultimately leads to the fact she'll come back to help him. Or if she goes out and disappears for a long period of time, she'd stop by his place first and show him she's not dead. It's the beginning of a loyalty and pretty much a sort of relationship Selina never really considered herself having. It's certainly not romantic love for her, but love isn't straight forward for Selina. She has to be able to trust and feel wanted, needed, and be certain she can be vulnerable around someone before any sort of romance can start. Instead, Dean is that owner the stray cat goes to when it needs attention, love, and a place to stay. Except she'd pretty much do anything she could to try and prove that she's grateful for what he's done. Including saving his stupid brother from falling into huge pits that would drop him 40ft and kill him.
Dean & Helen: Helen sees Dean, honestly, as an adult who is maturing in the world around him. Her near 300 years has left her a tad jaded and in the mindset of "I'm always right", but learning more about his homeworld has helped her understand his choices and him a little bit more. She still thinks he could do a bit more growing and accepting, but given he isn't breaking down the Sanctuary door and trying to murder all the abnormals there? She knows he is a good person. In a way he's that son that always ends up in trouble, except Helen kind of sees it more as a guiding mentor relationship at the moment. She's not entirely sure Dean would want a mother figure, so it's in a semi-business realm at the moment.
Ezio & Helen:
In a lot of ways, Ezio is the kind of man Helen really does need. He can get under her emotional walls, which does drive her nuts, but she's always appreciative of it. He's understanding of a greater world around him, and has been through enough hardships where it's easy for her to try and explain her own life without feeling like she'll crush him with the weight of all the knowledge and time she has. ADMITTEDLY, part of her is slightly jealous of Sophia. Not in the "she had him first (GFUU)" way, but because Sophia could honestly give him the kind of life he needs and deserves, where as Helen certainly can't. A lot of her outlook on their relationship is defined by the fact she knows she'll outlive him. Sometimes that's a crushing fact and she tries to keep it to herself, but Ezio is one of the few people since John that she's properly been in love with -- even if she'll never say it. Helen literally knows she can tell him anything and that means the world to her (I COULD KEEP GOING BUT STOPPING MYSELF).
Peter & Helen: PETER IS HER SPIDER-BABY HISS. Helen adores Peter. He's so very much like her when she was younger, but also can do far more than she ever could. Honestly if he was born in the 1800s and was her age, she could see him being in The Five with how intelligent he is. She wants to help him in so many ways, but does worry it will come off as she's trying to replace Aunt May, so she does keep a certain distance and barrier. She worries a stupid amount when he goes off, swinging from buildings, and pretty much expects him to come home all bullet ridden. Still, she hopes to give him a home and a mother-like-figure while he's in Mandalus in hopes of guiding him down his chosen path.
Dawnie:
Ashley & Helen: Oh boy. Helen has so much regret and remorse over Ashley being in Mandalus. It's honestly hard for her to be happy that she's there. All Helen can think about is how she failed her daughter and how, if they do save the city, Ashley will be taken from her and she'll go back to the point in time where she has no daughter. Part of her wants to try and make up for how she sees herself as failing, to try and be closer to Ashley, but at the same time she's still not sure how to approach Ashley. Or even what to say. She knows one of the many things they have to get over is the fact that John is alive and is Ashley's father, and why she never told Ashley about him. It's a difficult and complicated road that Helen knows Ashley needs, but she's just at a total loss of how to start going down it. She just hopes that with Henry, Kate and Peter living at the Sanctuary, Ashley won't feel out of place with her abnormality from daddy.
Raven & Helen: It's not developed too much, but Helen adores Raven. She sees her as a young woman who is trying to find her place in the world and is determined to help her in any way possible. Once Raven tells her more about her past, it's sure to go from there and develop more. For now, Helen sees herself as a mentor and is willing to do whatever she can for her.
Raven & Selina: And entirely opposite of Helen, Selina thinks Raven is an idealistic child. She sees a lot of herself in Raven, but with hope and the idea that everyone is actually a good person. It's hard to talk to Raven these days for Selina, given she feels as if she has to defend whatever she says or does to Raven's view of the world. Selina personally doesn't care if Raven doesn't agree, she just hopes Raven "wises up" to how the world is before it really flips her over like boxes at the Boston Tea Party /bricked. She's seen Bruce go out on a stupid hope that people are good, and she doesn't want to see Raven go the same path. Unfortunately, she doesn't think she can change Raven's mind, so she just is content in sitting back and waiting to help pick up the pieces.
Mey:
Rabbit & Helen: HELEN JUST ADORES RABBIT. Honestly, he reminds her of all the discovery and advancements from her early life. It brings back the happier memories, compared to how John always brings back the negative ones. Although it's not just that. Rabbit, being as old as he is, Helen feels she can relate to him and the Spine in ways she really can't relate to Ezio. Like her, Rabbit has seen the world change around her while the core of who and what she is never changes. The comment of being "antiques" honestly fits how Helen sees herself, and Rabbit never makes her feel old in a bad way. Instead it's just a gentle reminder and hope that maybe there are others like her that understand how it is to see everything fade away into history. However, since Rabbit is so playful, Helen feels that deep discussions like that aren't the best thing to bring up and instead teases him. It's a silent appreciation.
Bricha:
Kaylee & Desmond: Des sees her as a little sister, hence the nickname of "Kay." (That or Desmond really got sick of seeing those Kay Jeweler commercials) But, because of that, Desmond tends to treat her like she's younger than she really is. He doesn't see her as naive or immature, just the fact she hasn't seen the world he's come to understand. He doesn't see her as an assassin, so there is a bit of distance on his side. There are things he feels he can't tell her or show her because he knows she isn't the type that would walk the road of being an assassin. He jokes and plays with her, even ruffles her hair and gives her a hard time, but he honestly doesn't want to see her become an assassin. He thinks that being one would make that natural happiness in her fade away, since the assassins always lose something. If he's ever indifferent or standoff-ish that's why. He just sucks at expressing his everything.
Henry & Helen: WELL DONE, HENRY /end meme/ HONESTLY this hasn't developed too much outside of canon, so it is as we see it in the show. Wereson that she feels is preparing to become a father, but is always going to be that adorable dorky kid in his own ways. Which is pretty much why she wants to stick Henry and Peter in a room and see what happens. She is glad he's come to be natural and field work and has stepped outside of his little "geek cave" and hopes to do more missions with him in Mandalus.
