cold showers
For the last few weeks it's been so hot that i have only been taking cold showers, even to wash my hair.
Today it finally cooled off enough that i was looking forward to a nice hot shower to wash my dirty hair (haven't actually washed it this week...dirty girl...)
But the hot water isn't working.
There was a funny blinky light on the wall unit that i control the temp with last night around midnight. I called the gas company and they said they'd send someone over this evening after asking me a few confusing (for my poor appliance jargon japanese).
A guy showed up this evening, 15 minutes earlier than they said they'd send someone. Which meant that i was just getting out of a post-bikeride cold shower and hastily threw some pajama-clothes on.
He stayed for less than 5 minutes (perhaps he found my lack of bra disturbing?), telling me that they would have to call the manufacturer of the wall unit and would get back to me.
Silly hopeful me thought maybe there was a chance someone would get back to me tonight, magically enabling me to have my hot hairwashing shower as planned and looked forward to.
But now it's almost 9:30 and i have heard nothing. I am just hoping that Saturday is as working a day as the calendars in Japan would make it out to be, and that someone will come fix it tomorrow.
Of course the weather is supposed to heat back up tomorrow, so i probably won't even want a hot shower for another few weeks.
