A student of mine got hit by a car this afternoon, on her way back to school. Her best friend saw it happen. She's no longer critical, but when I left school, four hours ago, she was kept in an artificial coma because her brains and lungs had internal bleedings.

I didn't realise how much I love these kids, already.
